At this webinar, Jane Meadus, lawyer and advocate at the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, and Natalie Mehra, executive director of the Ontario Health Coalition, discussed hospital discharges and the rights of patients and their substitute decision-makers.

Patients and their substitute decision makers need to know this information when hospitals are moving patients to different units and discharging them. The Ontario Health Coalition receives a lot of calls and emails from people who are in distress, stressed out and not fully understanding what their rights are, what is allowed and not allowed, and what they can do to get the care they or their loved ones need.
